September 14th 2009,
Yeahhh I actually wrote again.
Ok so now that i am back on the Blogging Bandwagon. I actually have some fun stuff to write about.
First and foremost. The show this weekend we did in Dayton OH. was interesting to say the least. I actually got mooned by a 6 foot 4 guy while we were doing sound check. The show we did was called X-Fest. Load in was pretty uneventful. The stage manager that we had was a little too excited to be there, and although he seemed to think he was a profesional, he sure was running around and not near our stage alot. Anyways. All of the bands that we had on our stage were local bands with probably zero touring experience. Most of them really didn't pay attention at all during sound check and seemed a bit ungratefull for the opportunity to play on the stage. On a positive note. The Dayton Local IATSE stagehands were phenomenal. We actually got the truck loaded in an hour and ten minutes which is super quick for us.
We left Dayton sunday night and drove to just outside Indy.
This week we have a really long drive. Dayton OH. to the Idaho/Wyoming state line. So today we drove to Council Bluffs Iowa. The great thing is that we are staying at the same hotel as we did after the Wichita show so i got to have Fazollis for dinner. It was pretty great.
In other news.... Pat Boone our monitor engineer went home for about 10 days to work on his country project. He is trying to launch a 3 piece country act and writing some new music as well.
Since Pat is gone, we have a replacement monitor guy named Static. He is the monitor engineer for the rock band Tesla. We picked him up today and he seems like a great guy. Both Dave and Pat have worked with him before and only have good things to say. Because Pat wont be at the next show, i am going to be in charge of setting up monitor world and all of the stage patching. It should be a good challenge for me and i'm looking forward to it.
On a personal note. Im really enjoying this job. I am just about at the 6 month point, and i have realized just how Green i was at the beginning and how much i have learned since i have been out. I am also really excited about this winter because i will be dj'ing all of the AMA Supercross events that we do. It should be a lot of fun.
Ok i guess thats it for now.
See dave i told you i was going to keep writing in this thing.
Hope everyone is doing well.

On the Road Again.
Sept 10th 2009,
Back to work, Back to work. So today we all came back out to the truck for our next tour. This tour should be fun. It is definitely a lot more relaxed than Mayhem was. This next tour should be pretty much our normal setups.
This tour includes stops in the following cities: Dayton OH. Boise ID. Reno NV. Las Vegas NV. St. Louis MO. Daytona Beach FL. and Oklahoma City OK. I think there might be some other places in there, but im not sure.
Our first stop is in Dayton OH. We are doing a radio festival with Alice in Chains, and Mudvayne as the headliners. Should be a good one day show. Then we are off to Idaho for a Motorcycle hill climb.
The big highlight of this run i think will either be Biketoberfest in Daytona Beach, or the week that we are in Las Vegas. We are doing a show for a custom bike shop and Vince Neil is going to be there. Should be a lot of fun.
We are hanging out in Novi Michigan tonight. The truck has been here for the past 2 weeks getting all fixed and it looks great. Im really looking forward to doing more audio stuff this run. Also we are buying a DJ system so i might get to DJ some shows fairly soon which would be awesome.
I know that i kind of abandoned this blog while i was out on the Mayhem tour, but i am going to try and get back into the groove of writing it at least 3 times a week. Im also going to take a lot more pictures.
Below is a picture of a magazine article about Dave and the truck during Mayhem Fest. I know its really small. Oh well. Hope everyone is doing well.

New Post Finally
August 17th, 2009
So the Mayhem is officially over. The tour just finished up on Saturday in Dallas Tx. The last few shows have been ungodly hot. The tour was great and everyone involved seemed to really enjoy themselves. Our stage manager, Checker was great and we got him a Jagermeister Snowboard for a thank you present. He was super excited.
Ok so the major tour of the summer is over now. We did a show in Witchita Ks. yesterday. It was kind of nice, because the stage was only being used for a radio remote broadcast. So not a lot of work involved for us. The show was good, but loud. The main stage had Black label Society, Static-X, Mudvayne, and Korn. All in all it was a lot of fun.
Today and tommorow we are hanging out in Omaha Ne. relaxing and getting ready for our next show which is in Glen Flora Wi. The show should be fun. It is a campground show with the Bands Great White, and Puddle of Mudd as headliners. Im hoping that i get to do lights for both bands.
Anyways im off to walmart. I will post some pictures up soon. I left the cable for my phone in the truck and its kinda far away.
Hope everyone is doing well.

Kansas City, and Not a BBQ joint in site
July 20th 2009
So i was alerted to the fact that my last blog post was titled Four Star Resort, and then there weren't any pictures of it. So here are a couple of pictures of the resort.
This is the Front entrance on the night that we arrived.
Nice Gobo on the waterfall at the entrance of the hotel
Ducks right outside out sliding glass door to the pool area. Chucky liked to feed the ducks
This was the first thing that i saw as i walked out of the truck when we did the show in Albequerqe NM. Yes those are bullet holes.

Palm Springs and a Four Star Resort
July 15th 2009
Hey everyone,
So i know it has been a while, but i have been a very busy boy. Life on the Mayhem tour is going great. All the bands are a lot of fun and we have been having some great shows. This is going to be mostly a picture post because i am very tired after a 26 hour drive. So here it goes.

This is a great shot of the Jager Stage at the first show in Sacramento California.

The Loading dock with all of the mainstage trucks at the Sleep Train Amphitheater near San Fransico. Great show, crazy fan energy. Really good Grilled Cheese with Bacon Sandwich and Sweet Potato Fries for Lunch (its amazing the things you rememeber about a venue.)

GodForbid Rocking out in Seatle. Just before the crowd started to go crazy.
"Checker" our stage manager for the summer. Supper Cool guy and really knows what he is doing.
Ok so thats it for now. I tried to upload a video and it may or may not work. Check my Facebook status for more daily updates, but i probably wont have great internet for most of the summer.
Have a great week everyone.

This Ain't My First Rodeo
July 7th 2009,
Hi everybody,
Greetings from outside of Reno Nevada. ( I dont know exactly which town im in)
So the 4th of july was a lot of fun. We did a show in Belle Fourche South Dakota. We also participated in the town's Parade. It was a lot of fun. The show itself was at a rodeo arena, and was a very interesting load in and load out. The rodeo finished at 4:30 and the show started at 8:30 So it was a little rough trying to get the show loaded in and set up in such a short amount of time. We had a lot of help from some local stage hands which helped out a lot. We got the show loaded in fairly quick and sound check went pretty smooth.

The two bands that we had, were Little Texas and Jake Owen. Both great country acts who were very nice to work with. Dave was very busy with the two sound technicians for the other bands, so i got to be the Lighting Designer for both bands. We even had 2 followspots rented for the show. It was a lot of fun. Even better was the fact that i got complimented by both of the bands and the promoter for the event.
The only downfall was that there were only about 700 people there when there were supposed to be around 4 thousand. Oh well.

We are off to Sacramento tommorow to pick up Chucky Mclovin ( whos real name is Jake Lessure) More to come later about that.
Then the 8th is production day and the 9th is band day for mayhem then the first show is on the 10th. Should be a lot of fun.
